The Caterham F1 team appointed CYRIL ABITEBOUL as its "new managing director." The 35-year-old French native is currently the assistant COO for engine manufacturer Renault. He will hold both positions until January (MOTORSPORT-TOTAL.com, 9/21). ... German Bundesliga handball club THW Kiel appointed STEFAN ADAM as its new CFO. The 39-year-old will replace current CFO SABINE HOLDORF-SCHUST at the beginning of '13 (DPA, 9/21). ... English League Two football club Wycombe has dismissed Manager GARY WADDOCK "following a disappointing start" to its season (London GUARDIAN, 9/22). ... At its annual General Meeting, the Indian Boxing Federation elected RAJASTHAN BJP MLA ABHISHEK MATORIA as president, while incumbent ABHAY SINGH CHAUTALA was nominated chairman (PTI, 9/23).

TEAM COACHES AND MANAGERS:
The Korean Baseball Organization league is making a "managerial change." Hanwha Eagles Manager HAN DAE-HWA stepped down, and the Nexen Heroes Manager KIM SI-JIN was sacked within less than a month. All eight clubs in the KBO have changed managers in the last two years. Other than Lotte Giants former Manager JERRY ROYSTER, "no one has seen his contract through to the end, with SK Wyverns former Manager KIM SUNG-KEUN and the aforementioned two "leaving their teams mid-season" (KOREA TIMES, 9/21). ... Japan's Osaka Evessa basketball team GM HIROTARO NOMAMOTO "was relieved of his duties on Wednesday." The Evessa went 0-3 in preseason play, and Nomamoto, who had been with the team since they entered the league in '05, lost his job two days after their final preseason game (JAPAN TIMES, 9/22). ... Tonga national rugby team has signed int'l coaches TIM LANE, DAVE ELLIS and MARK BAKEWELL "to help guide the islanders' build-up to the next World Cup" (AFP, 9/23).
