PSG Pays Ibrahimovic A Salary Of $11.8M And Not The Reported $18.4M

Ligue 1 Paris St. Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic earns €9M ($11.8M) annually and not €14M ($18.4M) as reported by numerous media outlets, according to Arnaud Hermant of LE PARISIEN. The €9M net salary is the "equivalent of what he received" at AC Milan last season. The difference is that the Swede signed a three-year contract with PSG, whereas his deal with Milan was due to expire at the end of the season. The soon to be 31-year-old "is thus assured of receiving this amount until '15." With a salary of €9M, Ibrahimovic "is not one of the best paid players in the world" and is actually far behind Anzhi Makhachkala's Samuel Eto'o (€20M/$26.2M) and Shanghai's Didier Drogba (€15M/$19.7M). However, he is the best paid player in the Ligue 1 (LE PARISIEN, 9/16).
