Lighting Manufacturer Osram Set To Build Biggest Stadium LED Screen Ever In São Paulo

Lighting manufacturer Osram "will build the worldwide biggest LED stadium panel" at the Arena Corinthians São Paulo, according to Thomas Kletschke of INVIDIS.de. Osram "will equip the Arena Corinthians," which will host the opening game of 2014 World Cup, "with modern and energy efficient lighting." The highlight of the project "will be the stadium front that is transformed into the biggest LED panel in the world." The completed panel will be 170m long and 20m high and function as a TV screen showing game scores, still images and videos. The board will feature 840 LED panels and 34,000 LEDs from Osram subsidiary Traxon. In addition, Osram will also provide four 30m x 7.5m screens inside the stadium with LEDs (INVIDIS.de, 9/10).
