Germany's World Cup Qualifier Draws Strong TV Audience

The 2014 World Cup qualification match between Germany and the Faroe Islands "obtained Friday's top rating with an average of 7.87 million viewers," according to Timo Niemeier of QUOTENMETER.de. Germany's 3-0 victory received a "strong" 28.2% market share. ZDF's coverage also obtained "fantastic" ratings in the marketing relevant age group 14-49. The game was watched by 2.64 million viewers or 26% in the marketing relevant age group (QUOTENMETER.de, 9/8).

M6's coverage of Friday night's 2014 World Cup qualifying match between France and Finland "was watched by only" 4.9 million people and a 21% share (LE PARISIEN, 9/8).
