Emirates Airline Extends Sponsorship Of DP Championship

Emirates airline is renewing its sponsorship of the European Tour’s grand finale -- the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, which will see Rory McIlroy and Luke Donald compete for $8M in prize money, according to the GULF NEWS. The carrier will be the official airline of the event for the next three years. This year's tournament will be played at Jumeirah Golf Estates’ Earth course on Nov. 22-25. The DP World Tour Championship is the climax of the Race to Dubai, which comprises 46 tournaments played across the globe. With the renewal of the DP World Tour Championship, Emirates will be involved at a total of 10 European Tour events this year, as well as this month’s Ryder Cup (GULF NEWS, 9/2).
