Brasileiro Lost $54M In Player Value Through Transfers, Consulting Agency Finds

With the transfer window for most European leagues having closed on Friday, Brazilian consulting agency Pluri Consultaria reported on the impact it had on the value of the players in Brasileiro clubs. Since the start of the season, the Brasileiro has lost €43M ($54M) in player value. The worth of players for the entire league dropped from €1.02B ($1.26B) to €978M ($1.22M). The Brasileiro continues to be the league with the sixth highest market value in terms of players. The top five in order are England, Spain, Italy, Germany and France. Santos (€133M/$167.8M), São Paulo (€103M/$130M) and Corinthians (€70M/$88M) have the squads with the highest value in Brazil. For the entire report click here (Pluri Consultaria).
