Supercopa Between Real Madrid And FC Barcelona Was The Most Watched In Spanish TV History

When Real Madrid faced Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabéu Wednesday, it was the most-watched Supercopa "in the history of TV," according to EUROPA PRESS. Kantar Media reported that TVE and TV3's broadcasts in Spain was watched by an average of 10.4 million people, a 61.3% share. TVE's channel La 1 had more than 9 million people tuned in to its broadcast for a 53.4% share, while Catalonia's TV3 had an average audience of 1.3 million for a 46.4% share. The most-watched minute on both channels came at 11:16pm when Messi scored on a free kick right before halftime. A total of 11.4 million were tuned in for a 64.8% share on the two networks. TVE had 14.7 million people "watch at least one minute of the game" (EUROPA PRESS, 8/30).
