Constantin Medien Releases Its Mid-Year Numbers; Revenue Increases To $261M
Media corporation Constantin "increased its revenue and profit in part due to a boost in ad revenue from its TV channel Sport1," according to the DPA. During the first six months of '12, the company "was able to increase its revenue" by 5.6% to €211.7M ($261M). Profits after taxes "have almost tripled over the same period" to €2M ($2.5M). For the full year, Constantin "expects to generate between €460-480M ($568-593M) in revenue and also improve its profitability." Constantin Medien CEO Bernhard Burgener was pleased with the company's development. He said, "These numbers are a good foundation in order to achieve our full-year goals" (DPA, 8/16).
