Rugby Football League Has Received Four Bids For Administration-Hit Bradford Bulls

The Rugby Football League has confirmed that it has "received four unconditional bids" for administration-hit Super League club Bradford Bulls, according to the BBC. A deadline of Aug. 21 has been set for the bidders to present a "concrete business plan for the club." In a statement, the RFL revealed one of the offers is from Super League (Europe) Ltd. but the other three could not be named. RFL COO Ralph Rimmer said, "We had constructive meetings with all the consortia that have submitted proposals to the administrator on Wednesday and we're optimistic about the future of Bradford Bulls." Administrator Brendan Guilfoyle said that he is happy with the way the situation is progressing. Guilfoyle: "We now have all the ingredients that the RFL has requested and funds proven from three bidders plus the Super League Europe Ltd. offer" (BBC, 8/16).
