German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen signed a new sponsorship deal with online print provider Primus-Print.de. The deal includes board ad space, logo presence at the BayArena as well as other promotional events inside the stadium and in the VIP area. In addition, Primus-Print.de will be allowed to use the title of "Print Partner of Bayer 04 Leverkusen" (Bayer Leverkusen).
NIKE SHIRT OFFENSIVE?: A new women's T-shirt by Nike that is emblazoned with the words "Gold Digging," has "offended rather than inspired." An official description from the company suggests they "are aware of the product's potential to be deemed sexist." The description reads, "We aren't saying they're gold diggers -- we're just saying they're out for the gold! What's wrong with that?" (DAILY MAIL, 8/14).
THIRD TIME'S A CHARM: Beverage producer Imnauer Mineralquellen "expanded its sport sponsoring through a new deal with volleyball Bundesliga club TV Rottenburg." This means Imnauer Mineralquellen "now has sponsorship deals with teams in three different Bundesliga sports." Besides TV Rottenburg, the company also sponsors Bundesliga handball club Balingen-Weilstetten and Bundesliga basketball club Walter Tigers Tübingen (SCHWARZWAELDER-BOTE.de, 8/14).
