Pele Signs Four-Year Deal With Advertising Agency MediaCom Sport
Former Brazilian footballer Pele has agreed to a deal with MediaCom Sport to "manage his marketing image," according to Felipe Turlão of MEIO&MENSAGEM.com.br. The agreement is for four years and the WPP-owned advertising agency will be in charge of any marketing appearance Pele makes. The contract was closed by Legends 10, the company responsible for the licensing of any Pele branded products and his image. With the new deal, appearances of the former footballer that are not marketing related, like FIFA or World Cup Organizing Committee events, will continue to be dealt with by Legends 10. However, when he makes appearances for marketing purposes, MediaCom Sport will be responsible for the negotiations (MEIO&MENSAGEM.com.br, 8/10).
