Capitales del Fútbol To Return With Five New Episodes Mid-August

ESPN announced that Capitales del Fútbol, the first documentary series to profile some of the most well-known football capitals in the world returns in mid-August with five new episodes featuring Barcelona, Bogota, Manchester, Mexico City and São Paulo. It will air across Latin America in 18 Spanish-speaking countries and Brazil beginning in mid-August. It will make its debut on ESPN Deportes for the U.S. Hispanic audience at a later date this season. Presented by MasterCard and co-produced by ESPN and Academy Award-winning production company 100 Bares, the series includes appearances by stars of sports and entertainment such as Dutch soccer great Johan Cruyff; Spanish footballer Xavi Hernandez; Argentine player Sergio Agüero; British musician Noel Gallagher; Mexican rock band Molotov; Portuguese player Nani of ManU; and many more. The series is ESPN’s highest rated original series ever in Latin America with more than seven million viewers tuning in during the first season alone.  ESPN Int'l Marketing Solutions Dir Esteban Apraez said, "The show is a truly global undertaking that takes us to many of the most beautiful and enchanting destinations in the world" (ESPN).
