Bwin.com Reaches Deal With ManU To Replace Betfair As Club's Betting Partner

Online betting site bwin.com has "signed a deal to serve as the official betting and gaming partner" of ManU, according to IGAMINGBUSINESS.com. Bwin will replace Betfair who had a partnership with the Manchester side for the past three seasons. The new agreement is set to cover the entire '12-13 season. A statement on bwin.com read: "With Manchester United, bwin.com has enlarged its international sponsorship portfolio" (IGAMINGBUSINESS.com, 7/20). CASINOCHOICE.co.uk's Stephen Carter reported that bwin "joins a sponsorship roster that includes" AON, Nike, and DHL. AON pays £20M ($31.2M) a year to be the team's shirt sponsor, Nike has a £23.5M ($36.7M) annual kit supply deal and DHL pays £10.5M ($16.4M) a year to sponsor the training kit (CASINOCHOICE.co.uk, 7/19).
