Study Shows Rafael Nadal Is Most Recognizable Spaniard

A recent study by Marketing Consulting company Personality Media revealed that Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal is the "most-known and best-valued" individual in the eyes of the Spanish public, according to EUROPA PRESS. The objective of this analysis, which has been done every six months since '05, is to know which celebrities are best suited for which commercial activities. The study consulted with "more than 40,000 Spanish consumers" to find their preferences regarding the image and relevance of 1,900 personalities. The results showed that the top 10 best-known and most-valued Spanish celebrities listed in order are: Tennis star Rafael Nadal, NBA Lakers forward Pau Gasol, FC Barcelona midfielder Andrés Iniesta, actor Paco León, retired cyclist Miguel Induráin, FC Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernández, football coach Pep Guardiola, football coach Vicente del Bosque, Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas and sports journalist Matías Prats. The summary shows "six athletes, two coaches, one actor, one journalist and not one woman in the top 10" (EP, 7/9).
