Dairy farmers have warned that Britain could face a “milk strike” during the Olympic Games partly because of a collapse in cream prices across Europe. Dairy farmers have threatened to "pour milk down the drain and block depots if cuts to the price they are paid for their milk are not reversed" before Aug. 1 (FINANCIAL TIMES, 7/6).

GERMAN TEAM:
DIE WELT reported that Germany will send 391 athletes to the London Olympic Games. Each athlete will receive an Olympic kit, which was created by companies adidas, Sioux and Bogner and consists of 65 items including such things as an electric toothbrush. The total cost for outfit and transportation of the German Olympic team is €6M ($7.3M) (DIE WELT, 7/8).
