F1 Team Principal Peter Sauber Reconsidering His Retirement

F1 team principal PETER SAUBER "reconsidered his recently announced retirement at the end of the season" in a TV interview with ServusTV, according to Dominik Sharaf of MOTORSPORT TOTAL. Not long ago, the 68-year-old Swiss said that he does not want to sit on the pit wall with his headphones on at the age of 70. In an interview with ServusTV, Sauber seems to disagree with his previous statement and said that "the exact date is still unclear." Clear is that when Sauber steps down, he will hand over his team to current Sauber F1 Team CEO MONISHA KALTENBORN. Sauber transfered a third of his equity in the team to Kaltenborn, who will most likely become "the first female team principal in F1 history." Sauber said, "It is really important to know what you want and what direction you want to go" (MOTORSPORT TOTAL, 6/27)
