More than 150,000 young people living in camps for refugees and internally displaced people will get access to sport through a two-year program, which will distribute IOC sports kits in 20 countries throughout Asia, Africa and the U.S. The IOC, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and Samsung have teamed up to bring sports and its related psychological benefits to young refugees. The program was launched in India and South Africa where more than 17,000 young asylum-seekers and 59,000 refugees will benefit from the distribution of sports kits (Olympic.org).

The autographed game-worn memorabilia auctioned for close to €100,000 ($125,000), and the money will be used to renovate a children's hospital in Warsaw (EFE, 6/26).
