Each German Euro 2012 Goal Benefits Children's Charity

German telecom company Deutsche Telekom AG will donate €10,000 ($12,500) to children's charity "Ein Herz für Kinder" for each goal scored by the German national team at Euro 2012. So far, the German team has scored nine goals in four games at Euro 2012. The total donation amount, a minimum of  €100,000 ($125,000) regardless of Germany's goal count, will benefit "Ein Herz für Kinder" projects in Poland and the Ukraine. German team captain Philipp Lahm said, "The fact that we are able to support children with every single goal is a wonderful thing. I hope we will continue to score goals, so the donation amount will be as high as possible" (DEUTSCHE TELEKOM AG).
