Euro 2012 Creating A Crazy Demand For Flags In Spain
Spanish flag manufacturer Ádivin expects to sell 25,000 Spanish flags during the Euro, according to EFE. The company has tripled its number of seamstresses and has "established morning, afternoon and night" shifts to meet the growing demand. The factory has gone from "four to 12 seamstresses" and from "one to three shifts." Ádivin has also increased its number of employees from 12 to 20. The factory's printing machine is active for 20 hours a day. The manager of the factory explained that "from 100 flags a month we have gone to 2,000 flags a week" (EFE, 6/18).
