Barça and Real Refuse To Play Supercopa In China

Real Madrid and Barcelona have both refused to accept the Spanish Football Federation's deal that would have had the Supercopa playing in China, according to MUNDO DEPORTIVO. The Federation and United Vansen Int'l Sport reached a deal that would see the Supercopa played in China for five of the next seven years. The federation will receive €30M ($37.7M) and will give €3M ($3.8M)to each finalist. However, it appears '13 will not be one of the years where the game is played in China. Both teams cited the toll the trip would take on their players along with the fact that their fans would not be able to travel to watch the game as reasons for their refusal (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 6/18).
