ESPN And DirecTV Providing Latin America With 3D Olympic Coverage

ESPN and DirecTV announced they will air live 3D broadcasts of the Olympic Games in Latin America. The broadcasts will include five events and be offered on the ESPN3D network exclusively to subscribers of DirecTV in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. Subscribers must be signed up for DirecTV Plus HD. The following events will be transmitted in 3D: The Opening Ceremonies on July 27, Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Aug. 2, Track and Field Finals Aug. 5, Men’s Basketball Finals Aug. 12, and Closing Ceremonies of the Games Aug. 12 (ESPN).
