Tourism Post For Cambodian Olympic Official

National Olympic Committee of Cambodia Secretary General Vath Chamroeun has been appointed as an adviser to Tourism Minister Thong Khon, according to H S Manjunath of the PHNOM PENH POST. The move was made "to ensure better administrative and organisational coordination between the sports and tourism sectors." This advisory position for Chamroeun is considered "an added fillip to several ensuing tourism-sports initiatives." Among them are int'l half-marathons in Siem Reap, Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville, the proposed Sea Festival in Kep and the ASEAN Motor Rally (PHNOM PENH POST, 6/12).
