Source: 49ers Could Move Games To Arizona Or Texas

The 49ers are "looking at places in California and out of state" to conduct practices "for as long as they are shut out of their Santa Clara facility," according to a source. The source said that the team currently is looking "only at out-of-state locations to play games." The 49ers are scheduled to play home games on Monday, Dec. 7, against the Bills and Sunday, Dec. 13, against Washington. A source indicated that the 49ers' "best bet is to play in Texas or Arizona," the sites of the 49ers' two final road games against the Cowboys and Cardinals. Arizona and Texas currently have "less restrictions on contact sports while also housing a number of facilities that could host an NFL team for an extended period" (NBCSPORTSBAYAREA.com, 11/28).

Meanwhile, the Sharks and AHL San Jose Barracuda "may be forced to move their upcoming training camps outside of San Jose" after the Santa Clara County Department of Health ordered sports teams to "temporarily halt all activities that involve physical contact." Roughly a dozen Sharks players had been "skating in small groups at Solar4America Ice in San Jose in recent weeks in anticipation of the start of training camp, likely sometime in December." There "may not be much time to waste if the Sharks need to find another location to hold camp" (San Jose MERCURY NEWS, 11/29).
