Cardinals Exec VP & COO Ron Minegar To Step Down In Spring

Cardinals Exec VP & COO Ron Minegar has "informed the team he will be stepping down from his role" this spring. Minegar just completed his 20th season with the team after joining it from Disney Sports in '00. In his role, Minegar was responsible for "developing the club's annual strategic plan" and "overseeing all aspects of the Cardinals' business operations." He "oversaw the team's marketing, business development, communications, broadcast, ticket sales, community relations, stadium operations, international initiatives and alumni programs functions." Last year, Minegar was "suspended for six weeks without pay by the team ... after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence" in Chandler, Ariz., on Aug. 10 (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 1/11).
