Browns Coach Wears "Pittsburgh Started It" Shirt Before Rematch

Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens "inadvertently added to the drama" of today's Browns-Steelers game when he "wore a 'Pittsburgh started it' T-shirt to a movie theater Friday night." The shirt is a reference to the fourth quarter brawl that took place during the teams' Week 11 matchup. A Browns spokesperson yesterday said that Kitchens’ family "got him the shirt as a joke for his 45th birthday." Kitchens "donned a jacket over the shirt" at the movie theater, but when he posed for a photograph with a fan, "recognizable letters on the garment were exposed." The picture then "surfaced on social media and went viral" (AKRON BEACON JOURNAL, 12/1).

Meanwhile, several Steelers players "wore 'Free Pouncey' shirts during their arrival at Heinz Field" today. Steelers C Maurkice Pouncey had intervened in the Week 11 brawl and was suspended two games (SI.com, 12/1).
