Pro Bowl Notes: NFL Makes Standing-Room-Only Tickets Available

The NFL for the second year in a row is "making standing-room-only tickets" available for the Pro Bowl at Camping World Stadium, which begins at 3:00pm ET today. The league announced Friday that "standing-room-only tickets are $20 and available at ProBowl.com, with the proceeds benefiting Special Olympics Florida" (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 1/27). The NFL "plans to recognize UCF's 13-0 undefeated football season" during the game, and players "have been invited to walk out on the field for a celebration after the first quarter." NFL reps and UCF "had been in talks for weeks about ways to promote the game in the city" (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 1/23).

Meanwhile, members of the Players Coalition on Friday "listened to a presentation" from RITE (Racial Intelligence Training Engagement) on "improving relations between police and the black community" (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 1/28).
