MLB Wild Card crowds: Mets come up short

The Padres beat the Mets 6-0 last night at Citi Field in the only Game 3 of MLB's Wild Card round. In addition to "failing on the field" in the elimination game, the Mets "failed to sell out their biggest game in several years." The announced attendance was 39,241; Citi Field seats 41,922 (NEWSDAY, 10/10).
