NBC Completes Restructuring Of RSN Group Hierarchy

NBC restructured its RSN group this week, officially putting Bill Bridgen in the role of President & Group Leader overseeing the RSNs. He will continue to report to NBC Sports Regional Networks President David Preschlack, who also serves as NBC Sports Group Exec VP/Content Strategy. This was the week that NBC’s RSNs and local broadcast stations that it owns officially merged, a move that resulted in significant layoffs across the RSNs over the past several months.

As the plan was announced back in October, NBC Sports President of Group and Strategic Production & Programming Ted Griggs stepped down from his role. As part of the RSN restructure that took effect this week, Senior VP/Content & Live Programming Jon Slobotkin will oversee game production, consulting with the RSN general managers on live productions. Slobotkin reports to Bridgen.

Following the restructuring, NBC’s owned-stations leadership team will include CFO Jeff Stone, CMO Therese Gamba, Senior VP/Digital Media Lora Dennis, Senior VP/Business Development & Strategy Shawn Makhijani, Senior VP/Technology & Operations Jeff Morris, Senior VP/HR Dave Crossen, VP/Legal Raneshia Smith-Duke, Senior VP/NBCLX, COZI TV, LX.TV Productions Meredith McGinn and VP/Communications Melissa Castro. They report to NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations President Valari Staab.
