LAFC Unveils New Org. Structure, Hires Stacy Johns As CFO

LAFC will announce later today a new organizational structure as it pertains to revenue and also a new hire in Stacy Johns, who is the team’s new CFO and joins the organization after spending 16 years in finance and accounting with the Colts. This marks the first major change since former LAFC President Tom Penn stepped down in mid-August to become the CEO of new venture Co.Protect. LAFC worked with executive search firm Nolan Partners and President Chad Biagini on Johns’ placement. Former CFO Jim Bailey will move into an executive consulting role to advise ownership and senior leadership. Meanwhile, LAFC Head of Corporate Partnerships Mark Morris is no longer with the club. The team declined to comment further to THE DAILY.

Additionally, corporate partnership sales, partnership marketing, ticket sales and service and business and data strategy will be more closely intertwined and be led by Ryan Bishara, now Exec VP/Revenue & Strategy. Kristen Kuhn, formerly Senior VP/Partnership Marketing, Brand and Community, will oversee sponsorship sales and partnership marketing as Senior VP/Corporate Partnerships. Brendan Boyle will continue to lead ticketing as VP/Ticket Sales & Service. LAFC co-President and Chief Business Officer Larry Freedman said, “After looking at a merit-based, performance analysis and trying to have the crystal ball to see what 2021 will bring and looking ahead to see how we’ll be best-served as an organization ... there was a real opportunity to bring all of these functions together in a more formalized structure.”
