Genius Sports, Drone Racing League Partner Around Betting Data

The Drone Racing League and Genius Sports have agreed to a multiyear partnership making the company DRL’s official betting data provider. With exclusive access to DRL data, Genius Sports will create a real-time gaming platform that provides up-to-the-second odds with transparency, accuracy, security, wagers and prop bets in an effort to sell the betting product to legal sportsbooks. DRL expects to begin looking for betting operators in the near future.

DRL President Rachel Jacobson said betting was a key target when she was hired earlier this year and that talks with Genius Sports moved quickly after the two sides connected less than a month ago. While DRL explored the market, Jacobson called Genius Sports a “clear winner” due to their foundation of technology. “We knew they were a technology powerhouse so they'd be an amazing partner as we dive head first into the gaming industry,” said Jacobson, citing Genius Sports’ other partnerships with the NBA, NASCAR and EPL.
