MLB Reaches Deal With Hyperice; Tatis Jr. Now An Endorser

Hyperice, which makes sports recovery and movement devices, is announcing today a multiyear partnership with MLB to become the league's Official Recovery Technology Partner. The partnership will include a future investment by MLB in Hyperice. Also, MLB and Hyperice will work together with teams' medical and training staff, making Hyperice products and technologies immediately available for use during games. Padres SS Fernando Tatis Jr. now becomes the first MLB player to join Hyperice as an ambassador and investor.

Other prominent investors include Patrick MahomesAnthony Davis, Rickie Fowler and J.J. Watt. Hyperice also has deals with the NBA, UFC and EPL club Tottenham Hotspur. The company's valuation swelled to $700M after recently raising $48M from investors including the NBA, the NFL’s 32 Equity investment arm and a group of athletes including Naomi Osaka. MLB Chief Revenue Officer Noah Garden: “Hyperice is one of the most innovative companies in sports today and many baseball players already use their products, making them an ideal strategic partner."
