Fox, Samsung Partner On MLB Postseason Mobile Experience

During the NLCS and World Series, Fox Sports' coverage will feature the Fox Sports 5G View Powered by Samsung, a new bonus app experience exclusively for 5G-enabled smartphones. The collaboration between the two brands is intended to deliver a custom design experience for Android users. That includes an interactive video player that empowers the viewer to control camera angles. Highlights are updated throughout the game, and fans can rewind up to three minutes during live games. Fox Sports' usual number of postseason cameras are complemented by more than 90 additional proprietary cameras inside Globe Life Field, fueling the 5G View functionality.

"After recently reimagining the Fox Sports app, we are thrilled to work with Samsung to add this exclusive 5G smartphone experience for the NLCS and World Series," Fox Sports Exec VP & Head of Digital David Katz said in a statement. "During these unique times for fans, we have an immense opportunity to get them closer to the action with impactful, creative solutions." Viewers can access Fox Sports 5G View Powered by Samsung through the recently redesigned Fox Sports app after service provider authentication.
