Two NBA Teams Shut Down Practice Spaces Amid Positive Tests

The NBA Kings have "canceled individual workouts at the team facility after another member of the organization tested positive for the coronavirus," a move that comes "days before departing for Florida" for the season restart. A source said that a "member of the team’s traveling party tested positive Sunday." It is unknown whether the person is a "player, coach or staff member." The Kings also "called off Monday and Tuesday workouts and are not expected to reopen their facility before the team leaves Wednesday" (SACRAMENTO BEE, 7/6).

Meanwhile, the Bucks shut down their practice facility yesterday "after receiving the results of Friday's coronavirus testing," according to a source. The team "still plans to leave for Orlando on Thursday, but it isn't expected to hold any more workouts before that time" (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 7/6).
