Nassau County Still An Option For Islanders Next Season

Onexim Sports may have shut down NYCB Live's Nassau Coliseum, but Nassau County Exec Laura Curran said that the "Islanders’ longtime home rink is still a viable option for the next NHL season before the team plans to move into its under-construction arena at Belmont Park" in October '21. Curran in an interview with N.Y.-based WINS-AM said, “I do know that the next time the Islanders do play in New York, it will be in Nassau County.” She added, "The pandemic has changed a lot. What I can tell you is there are conversations going on" (NEWSDAY, 6/25).
