New York Quarantine Policy Won't Apply To Yankees, Mets

The Yankees and Mets will "not be subject to the tri-state travel advisory issued Wednesday, requiring travelers from states with heightened COVID-19 cases to self-quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in New York." With the Yankees and Mets relocating the resumption of Spring Training to their respective home ballparks, dozens of players will be traveling to New York "from various states, including Florida ... which is experiencing one of the country’s worst outbreaks of coronavirus." New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said that the travel arrangement with the teams was "set up prior to the announcement of the quarantine policy" (N.Y. POST, 6/25).
