MGM Resorts Int'l To Sponsor Raiders, Allegiant Stadium

MGM Resorts Int'l has signed on as an official gaming partner of the Raiders and a founding partner of Allegiant Stadium, with "prominent signage throughout the stadium and in-stadium branding and naming rights to the venue's west VIP entry and drop-off zone." MGM Resorts Int'l Chair & CEO Jim Murren said that he "hopes MGM and the close proximity of Mandalay Bay to the stadium will allow the company to establish pre- and post-game events." In becoming a stadium founding partner, MGM is "joining 10 other companies with that status" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 1/24).

Meanwhile, in other Vegas news: Sin City's longtime slogan, "What happens here, stays here," will reportedly change to, "What happens here, only happens here." The new slogan will be "officially unveiled" in a 60-second ad during Sunday's Grammy Awards (ABCNEWS.com, 1/23).
