Liverpool Confirms Multiyear Kit Supply Deal With Nike

EPL club Liverpool has "confirmed Nike as its official kit supplier" in a multiyear deal starting with the '20-21 season. This "brings an end to the Reds' partnership with New Balance," which had been their kit supplier since '15. The club was "involved in a legal battle with New Balance last year" over severing that partnership. The new deal, effective June 1, will see Nike "manufacture and supply all of Liverpool’s playing, training and travel wear" (LIVERPOOL ECHO, 1/7). Sources said that the value of the deal "puts Liverpool in the same bracket as other leading clubs around the world" (ESPN.com, 1/7).
