Podcast Picks: The Future Of Team Basketball

In "Chapter 1" of Bill Simmons' new "Book of Basketball 2.0" podcast, Warriors coach Steve Kerr talks about the future of teams in the NBA. With the current trend of players choosing to switch teams often, Kerr wonders, "Is it going to be possible to really see the beauty of a basketball team that's built something over five or six years and grown together?"

PROUD AS A PEACOCK: On the "Strictly Businesss" podcast, NBCU Chair of Advertising Sales & Client Partnerships Linda Yaccarino and Accenture Managing Dir Mike Chapman joined Variety’s Andrew Wallenstein to discuss the launch of NBCU’s Peacock streaming service, plus how innovation is altering how the company approaches the Tokyo Games. Wallenstein said '20 “will be a big year for NBCUniversal.”

TIKTOK ON THE CLOCK: On an episode of Columbia Univ.'s "The Cusp" recorded during the school's recent Sports Management Conference, Hoops Nation Founder Buster Scher discusses the use of TikTok, saying the trendy social media outlet “treats their creatives better than any other platform.”

MY GENERATION: "Two Writers Slinging Yang" host Jeff Pearlman interviews The Athletic’s Lindsay Jones and compares her to NBC Sports’ Peter King, last week’s podcast guest. Pearlman: “In many ways, Lindsay is where Peter was a couple of decades ago: a tremendous reputation, a hot spot for sports journalism (and) a reliable accountant of information who knows the game really well.”
