Raptors Throw It Back To '95 For Season's First Rewind Night

The Raptors last night hosted the "first of several '95 Rewind Nights" at Scotiabank Arena, with the team wearing "distinctive white, red, and purple Jurassic Park inspired jerseys in a 104-95 win" over the Magic. The hardcourt also was "painted purple, white, and red with dinosaur footprints marching across the floor." The Barenaked Ladies sang the national anthems, "just as they had at the Raptors’ first-ever game." Music from the '90s "dominated breaks in play." Raptors G Kyle Lowry said of the throwback uniforms, "Sexy. That's my quote of the night." Raptors F Pascal Siakam: "People really like the throwbacks. When they actually came out it wasn't a thing, but whenever you throw something back, I guess it's exciting" (CP, 10/29). The Raptors wore "bright purple-and-red warmup suits" as well. The floor design was "just like the one the Raps once debuted inside SkyDome" (now Rogers Centre) (GLOBE & MAIL, 10/29).
