DC Extends Metro Service For MLB Wild Card, WNBA Finals

DC's Metro "will extend service by up to one hour" tonight for fans attending Sun-Mystics WNBA Finals Game 2 and the Nationals' Wild Card matchup against the Brewers. The Metro "will continue to run for at least 20 minutes after the usual weeknight closing time" of 11:30pm ET and "could stay open" as late as 12:30am. Both games are slated to start around 8:00pm. Brewers-Nationals will be "televised with extended breaks for commercials that could leave many of the more than 40,000 expected attendees without a ride home under regular Metro hours" (WASHINGTON POST, 9/30).
