Fox Releases New Ads Attacking Dish's Decision To Cut Channels

Fox has gone on the offensive following Dish Network and Sling TV's decision to drop several of its channels yesterday, which included Fox’ owned-and-operated broadcast stations, FS1, FS2, Big Ten Network and Fox Deportes. Fox runs a full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal today that reads, "Dish Took Your Favorite Fox Sports Away." It goes on to state: "Millions will miss NFL on Sunday and Rams vs Seahawks on Thursday" (THE DAILY). Meanwhile, during last night's Eagles-Packers "TNF" broadcast, Fox "released a commercial about Dish dropping the Fox channels." It was a "full-on scripted commercial featuring actors." In the fourth quarter, Fox aired another "scripted commercial." Fox has "clearly been prepared for Dish Network pulling the channels for a long while, and they’re now putting on an all-out blitz" (AWFULANNOUNCING.com, 9/26).
