New Wells Fargo Center Scoreboard Part Of $250M Renovation

Comcast Spectacor has begun installing the world’s first kinetic 4K center-hung scoreboard at Wells Fargo Center. The scoreboard, which will be able to move and transform, is a part of a $250M renovation of the Philadelphia arena that started in '17. The hourglass-shaped scoreboard features two center video screens, two horn-shaped video screens, weighs 90,000 pounds and has 6,601 square feet of 4K LED video displays. The complete center-hung entertainment system, which was created by ANC and TAIT, contains 40 million pixels and is expected to be ready for the Flyers’ first preseason game on Sept. 16 against the Islanders.
