NBA, Disney Set For Grand Opening Of NBA Experience

The NBA and Disney this morning will hold the grand opening of the NBA Experience at Disney Springs, the latest interactive area at the revamped entertainment and dining district. The NBA Experience, a collaboration between NBA and Disney, includes 13 basketball-themed activities inside a 44,000-square-foot, two-floor attraction. An on-site retail store features exclusive NBA-themed merchandise designed by Disney.

Visitors will be able to recreate a player’s experience in the NBA Draft, go through pregame preparations and participate in shooting, dunking and ball-handling drills. Other experiences will provide access to a team locker room, along with an immersive 180-degree video production highlighting a player’s in-arena experience before the start of the game. Another interactive feature will allow fans to watch game replays and make the call on the play.
