Super Bowl LIII Ticket Resales Still Tracking Below Last Year

Ticket resales for Super Bowl LIII are tracking below last year, according to data from StubHub, but the game is still poised to become one of the ticket resale marketplace’s largest selling events ever. As of last night, the average sales price on the site was $4,483 per ticket, 16% below the $5,366 from the same point prior to last year's game. The figure is up from $4,154 two years ago for Patriots-Falcons in Houston.

Get-in pricing for Sunday was showing similar year-over-year declines, as activity from Rams fans and California in particular is not showing the same level of intensity as Pennsylvania-based Eagles fans a year ago. Low-end pricing as of last night was tracking at around $2,300, down from more than $3,100 per ticket leading up to Super Bowl LII. StubHub GM of NFL, NBA & NHL Scott Jablonski said a narrative of Patriots fatigue has not proven true, as Massachusetts is the largest-buying state for the game with 18% of all sales.
