Super Bowl Look-Ahead: Prepping For A Prop Bet Bonanza

Super Bowl LIII will come as legal sports betting continues to expand in the U.S., and William Hill U.S. CEO Joe Asher said that prop betting for the event is "quite popular and keeps people engaged throughout the game, even if it's a blowout." Asher added, "We've never seen evidence of a player prop being manipulated" (AP, 1/21).

Meanwhile, Falcons Owner Arthur Blank, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and members of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce today will ring the Opening Bell at the NYSE at 9:30am ET ahead of the city hosting the Super Bowl (NYSE).

Extended forecasts for Atlanta are calling for showers on Super Bowl weekend. Both the Saturday, Feb. 2, and Sunday, Feb. 3, forecasts call for a 50% chance of rain, with highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s (WEATHER.com, 1/22).
