Rams Honor First Responders, Those Affected By Tragedies

More than 3,000 first responders and others "affected by the recent tragedies in Southern California were guests" of the Rams for last night's "MNF" win over the Chiefs in L.A. (ESPN.com, 11/20). Prior to the game, the Cal Lutheran Univ. choir "sang the national anthem as first responders and their families carried an American flag that stretched the length of the field." Karen and Jordan Helus, wife and son of Ventura County Sheriff’s Sgt. Ron Helus, "lit the Coliseum torch in honor of Helus, who was killed in the Nov. 7 shooting" in Thousand Oaks (L.A. TIMES, 11/20). Throughout the night, through "timeout videos and various announcements, the community's courage was consistently recognized" (L.A. TIMES, 11/20).
