Legends-JMI Venture Hires Matt O'Brien To Run Notre Dame Sales

The Legends-JMI joint venture that represents Notre Dame has brought on Matt O’Brien to head up sales as Senior VP/Partnership Development, reporting directly to President Ted Loehrke. Legends-JMI also have finalized a name for the joint venture -- Notre Dame Global Partnerships. The old name, Notre Dame Sports Properties, expired once Legends-JMI took over the school's marketing rights earlier this year.

O’Brien joined the venture this week after spending almost a year in Australia as National Basketball League Chief Commercial Officer. He also spent five years as Cavaliers VP/Global Corporate Partnership Development. It was during that time that he crossed paths with Loehrke, who was with the Bucks. O’Brien’s hiring brings ND Global Partnerships to eight employees, or about halfway to being fully staffed. He and Loehrke will both be based in Chicago.
