Athletes, Coaches Continue Voter Push Into Election Day

Athletes and coaches across sports continued their drive for voter turnout leading into today's midterms, with the Warriors' Steve Kerr penning a special to SI.com in which he "encourages all Americans to hit the polls." Kerr: "Casting a vote allows all of us to have a say in where our country is heading. ... It is the least we can do, considering people fought, and in many cases gave their lives, for our right to do this" (SI.com, 11/5). Redskins CB Josh Norman also co-authored an essay in The Players' Tribune yesterday, urging voters to "raise our voice and remind our officials and each other that we are more than the hate we have seen" (THEPLAYERSTRIBUNE.com, 11/5).

Meanwhile, SI.com writes under the header, "NFL Protests Haven't Politically Resonated As Many Expected Ahead Of Midterm Elections." The BALTIMORE SUN goes with, "Some Ravens Step Gingerly Into Political Landscape Knowing It's Fraught With Tensions."
