Nissan Signs Naomi Osaka To Three-Year Endorsement Deal

Nissan Motor Co. has signed U.S. Open champion Naomi Osaka as its "next brand ambassador, tapping the tennis star's youth, drive and Japanese roots to appeal to younger customers." She will appear in "global promotions and advertising" under a three-year contract. Osaka appeared at a "contract signing event" at Nissan’s HQ in Yokohama. Other companies that have signed her as an endorser include Adidas, Yonex, Nissin Foods, Wowow and Citizen Watch (REUTERS, 9/13). Meanwhile, Adidas today is "expected to announce" its new deal with Osaka, pegged at more than $8M annually (SPORTS.YAHOO.com, 9/12).
