NBA Players Re-Elect Michele Roberts As Union Exec Dir

NBPA Exec Dir Michele Roberts was re-elected to her position yesterday at the annual summer meeting of the Board of NBA Player Reps in Las Vegas. The player reps and the union's Exec Committee voted unanimously to approve another four-year term for Roberts, who has led the NBPA since September '14. Roberts will continue to work alongside NBPA President Chris Paul, who last year was himself re-elected to a second four-year term (NBPA). Roberts "described many players as 'quite suspicious' of the union when she was first hired" following Billy Hunter's ouster. Roberts: "We've turned a corner. We're not done, but we are at a place that I'm proud of the work that we do for the players" (ESPN.com, 7/10).
